Wine has been grown in this region since Roman times and the Maurer family itself can look back on over 11 years of wine growing tradition. The ecologically oriented green covering between the vines helps to create a healthy microclimate that encourages beneficial insects and discourages pests through natural methods; fertilization takes place in accordance with the results of soil analyses.
