A Prince with a sublime soul and golden heart. Incomparable, sumptuous, refined. By unanimous designation it is the Prince of Friulian wines. It is a pedigree of an extremely high lineage: Picolit was once highly considered by the Courts of Europe (“all the tables throughout Europe were enlivened by this delicious wine ”, wrote Zanon); now it is enjoyed in State receptions. Sought after by gourmetst, Picolit gives itself with royal parsimony. Nature itself makes it so precious: in fact, the vine is very delicate and subject to “biological” diseases, which is a torment for producers and a delight for sommeliers. Picolit is a rare wine as far as quality and quantity are concerned. A collector’s wine, refined in small French oak barrels. The bunch is small, winged and sparse; the berry is small and transparent with a pruinose and resistant skin. A bunch normally has 20-40 small berries.
