One of the three varieties of Pinot it is made with white grapes. Ancient in origins, it was grown during the Roman Empire. Very popular in France and Northern Italy, nowadays it’s destined to become popular even in south Italy. Known in France by the name of “Bourgogne Blanc”, in Germany is called “Weissburgunder”.
Features
High alcoholic content, medium acidity, elegant, straw yellow colour with greenish tinges when young, it assumes golden nuances with age.
Pleasant aroma with nose of fruit and flowers when young, it develops hints of bread crust with age and gains almond and Artemisia aromas.
