Cabernet

Azienda Agricola Cantina San Martino - PITARS Angelo Pittaro · Friaul-Julisch Venetien · Rot

Historical note

This vine comes from Gironda, Bourdeaux, France. Imported to Friuli at the end of the last century, it is cultivated throughout the region and takes the second place in quality among the red wines. Undoubtedly the best of Friuli’s red wines. When quickly fermented with the peel, resulting in an easy to drink wine, intense and herbal, with a lovely grape flavour. After a long fermentation the wine is round, full bodied, tannic, wild, slight alcoholic but with a particular richness of aromas. It ages very well. After ageing, the ebal flavours dissipate, leaving behind the best of red wines.

Weitere Beschreibung

Schon als junger Wein ist der Cabernet ein guter Begleiter von kaltem Fleisch (Roastbeef). Nach einer Reifezeit ist er einer der besten Weine zu gegrillten Fleischspeisen und zu Wildbret allgemein.
