Montenisa Riserva Contessa Maggi
This Montenisa Riserva is named after the Contessa Maggi, a landmark figure in Franciacorta. The wine is made from the best selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes grown in our vineyards around Calino.
The first, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats (and partly in barriques) while the second took place in the bottles. The wine was then left to mature on the lees for at least 40 months. Remuage is still carried out by hand using the typical pupitres, as the oldest traditions dictate: this way each individual bottle receives special attention.
The golden yellow colourreflects the long period spent on the lees in bottles. The aroma is pronounced and lingering with hints of ripe fruit and yeast. The ripe fruit on the palate gives the wine a complex, rounded and balanced flavour.
This well-structured and unusually lingering wine is worthy of the best Franciacorta tradition.

Montenisa Riserva Contessa Maggi
Montenisa Riserva trägt den Namen der Gräfin Maggi, eine wichtige Figur in der Wirklichkeit von Franciacorta. Der Wein wird aus den besten Chardonnay und Pinot Nero Trauben hergestellt, die auf unseren Weinbergen um Calino wachsen.
Die erste alkoholische Gärung erfolgte entweder in Inox-Stahlbehältern oder in Barriques. Die zweite hingegen fand auf der Flasche statt, wobei während der mindestens 40 Monate dauernden Ruhezeit die eigenen Hefen hinzugefügt wurden.
Das Remuage wird noch mittels der charakteristischen pupitres von Hand durchgeführt, ganz entsprechend der klassischen Tradition, um jeder einzelnen Flasche besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu widmen.
In der Farbe ist der Wein gelb mit goldenen Reflexen, eine Folge der langen Ruhezeit auf der Flasche zusammen mit den Hefen. Der intensive und anhaltende Duft erinnert an reifes Obst und einen Hauch von Hefe. Am Gaumen wird aus dieser Note von reifem Obst ein komplexer, abgerundeter und ausgewogener Wein.
Dieser strukturierte und besonders anhaltende Wein macht der Tradition von Franciacorta alle Ehre.
